Pipelife’s Home Heating Design Process: A Simple Guide
Choosing the right heating system for your home is a big decision. Not only does it have a huge influence on the comfort of your home, it’s also one of the biggest factors determining the energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness of your property. With this in mind, it’s important to have piece of mind that the heating design you choose is the perfect fit for your property’s requirements.
With this in mind, at Pipelife Eco we offer a bespoke home heating design service, where our heating services are tailored to our customers’ individual needs. We know that the prospect of designing a heating system may seem daunting at first, which is why we guide our customers through the process step-by-step from start to finish.
We use our 50 years of manufacturing experience to offer our customers the best technologies to suit the specific requirements of their properties. In order to provide you with a little more information on how we work, we’ve broken down our home heating design process into the following simple steps:
Initial Quotation & Discussion
Once an architectural plan of the property has been obtained, our customers can obtain a free renewable heating quotation by sending the plans to our renewables department. Once the design engineers have received the plans, they will give you a call to discuss your specific needs and talk you through the options that are available.
Design Engineer Plans
Having talked through your requirements in detail, our in-house engineers will draw up plans for the application of renewable technologies to your property, and produce a bespoke, renewable heating quote that includes:
- The recommended product for your property e.g air to water heat pump or underfloor heating
- Breakdown of all components required
- Price for each solution
The planning and quote will also take into account:
- Free estimates
- Free CAD design
- Technical support
- Heat loss calculations
- Energy saving estimates
- Product and accessory specification
You’ll be provided with a comprehensive design package that assesses the heating design required to achieve maximum energy efficiency in your property.
Calculations & Floor Plans
The next stage in planning your heating design will involve the engineers dividing the underfloor area into zones where the pipes will be located and identifying the ideal manifold location. These calculations will then be used to produce a series of tables containing key information for installation. One of the most important documents to come out of this will be the quotation sheet that contains information on the cost of materials, the number of zoned areas required, and the heat pump size required.
Confirmation & Ordering Of Materials
If you’re happy with the plans and costs for your home heating design that have been drawn up by our in-house team, the final design configurations will be made before we issue you with a full design specification. From there, we will order the materials from a trusted Qual-Pex Eco stockist.
Continued Support Throughout Installation
Once we’ve completed the plans for your home heating design we’ll remain on hand to offer support throughout the installation, and can provide on-site training to installers who are not familiar with our products. Our team will be on-hand to answer any queries or questions that you may have throughout the heating design and installation process.
